The estate is built in a quiet and private area on the shores of Kenai Lake, in the Quartz Creek neighborhood of Cooper Landing, Alaska. The owners (who are accomplished, older professionals and refined, welcoming hosts) miss no details in style, comfort, convenience, and hospitality for this guest rental unit. You will know you've chosen the best. The owners will be on-site for most of your stay, but will not disturb you at all and invite you to fully enjoy their beautiful property without worry.

The primary space includes one bedroom and one bath. The bedroom has a queen bed. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. The unit has an impeccable and fully-appointed kitchen, satellite TV in the living/dining area, and a pull-out couch bed for an additional guest or two. A maximum of four individuals may stay in this area when using both the pull-out bed and the queen bed at double occupancy. There is also Wi-Fi for your use, but please note that some cellular services have limited coverage in this specific area.

This unit stands out most for its unmatched personality. The whimsical Alaskan feeling is accomplished through careful attention to detail. From the wall documenting the owner's ascent of Denali (Mt. McKinley) to the adorable 'stuffed' moose and bear on the walls, to the local and site-specific Alaskan antiques on display, you will enjoy your stay both for the time indoors as for the time outdoors. Well-decorated, but not overwhelming or overbearing, the apartment will make you feel right at home. Interesting books, a picnic basket, basic cooking ingredients - no details are missed.

Outdoors at this location is the real treat. The home is built on a private lot on the shores of turquoise Kenai Lake. This glacial lake is surrounded by magnificent mountains. No matter the season, you'll be enchanted by your surroundings as you enjoy the outdoor lakeside patio, barbecue, fire pit, and the owner's paddle boat (which you are welcome to use at your leisure!). You can also rent a canoe or kayak from the managers, and make the lake your second home. Find an isolated island for a picnic lunch, or just beach comb right from the property. You are far from any hustle and bustle, in a well-appointed and beautifully situated piece of wilderness. The entire property has been professionally landscaped, with water features, lounging areas, large swaths of lawn, flowers - simply breathtaking!

The drive into Cooper Landing proper from this home takes only 5-10 minutes, and rewards you with excellent dining and small conveniences, as well as access to the best fishing guides in the area. A stay here would not be complete without a day on the legendary Kenai River, either fishing or rafting. Horseback outfitters in the Quartz Creek area can take you to places rarely accessed by foot, and the unmatched drive to Seward (less than an hour away) gets you up close to marine life, glaciers, ocean fishing, and excellent souvenir shopping. We an help you plan and book any of these adventures, or give you directions to access some of the hundreds of miles of excellent hiking trails in the Chugach National Forest and Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, both of which surround Cooper Landing.
